Protech Asphalt Maintenance Inc is a PennDOT qualified asphalt and paving company in New Castle Pennsylvania. Protech Asphalt was started in March of 1995 by Howard Smith (owner of Smith Paving) and James Lang. Protech Asphalt was in operation for less than a year when Mr. Smith suddenly passed away. At that time, James Lang bought out Howard’s interest in the company, and has continued to run Protech Asphalt to this day. 

A new generation is now stepping in to continue the careful excellence built by Mr. Lang over the last nearly 30 years. Joe Wilson will soon be taking the reins, and hopes to continue the tradition started decades ago. A tradition of Quality, Knowledge, Skill and Conscientious craftsmanship that Protech Asphalt stands for.

Originally, we began with only seal coating and asphalt repair as our main services to customers. Over the years, we have expanded our company to include the wide variety of services that make up Protech Asphalt today. We are not only residentially proficient, but our superior expertise and skill in an industrial and municipal setting has granted us to be PennDOT qualified; you likely have seen us on the local roads in the last couple of months.
